Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos (NPH) is home to 3600 orphaned and abandoned children who are living in nine different sites located throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. NPH has medical facilities on three of its nine sites. Guatemala offers a primary care clinic while Haiti has a clinic as well as a fully staffed pediatric hospital.
NPH Honduras has a primary care clinic and has now expanded its role with the Holy Family Surgery Center, which is located on the clinic grounds.
Friends of the Orphans (FOTO) is a US-based, 501(c)3 charitable organization that financially supports NPH and its mission. The main focus of Friends of the Orphans and NPH is to feed, clothe, educate and love the children. The healthcare (clinics, surgery centers and hospital-based) initiatives have been borne out of the spirit of responding to the needs of the communities in which NPH resides. Thus, the Holy Family Surgery Center supports NPH’s response to the needs of the underprivileged people of Honduras.
The surgery center would not survive without the financial contributions of many people and organizations who believe in this shared mission.
Monetary donations to the Holy Family Surgery Center can be made via check or credit card (online).
For online payments visit www.friendsoftheorphans.org. Then click “donate” button in the upper right hand corner, and that will take you to the donation page. Then choose the country “Honduras”, and in the “special notes/instruction”, specify “Holy Family Surgery Center Medical Mission Trip”.
If paying by check, all checks should be made out to Friends of the Orphans. Reference on the check memo line “Honduras-HFSC Medical Mission trip.
